Cryogenic Pipework
Pipework conveying cryogenic liquid is generally installed in copper tube. Completed pipe work is pressure tested and certified to a designed test pressure.
The vast majority of pipe installed is degreased. This is an essential requirement for some liquid services.
All work undertaken meets with The British Compressed Gas Association codes of practice and the Pressure Equipment Directive.
With very low temperatures it is vital to have the cryogenic pipeline insulated
Liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen are the most common forms of cryogenic pipeline.
Liquid carbon dioxide is not a cryogenic but is low temperature. Pipe insulation is installed to current industry standards and has a variety of finishes including stainless steel, aluminium and white vinyl aluminium
